Door 4 – nRF54LV10A Launch
New Product Launch for nRF54L Series: nRF54LV10A
nRF54LV10A
Ultra-low-power, low-voltage Bluetooth LE SoC
On December 2nd, Nordic Semiconductor has introduced the nRF54LV10A SoC, a groundbreaking low-voltage Bluetooth LE system-on-chip (SoC) designed for next-generation healthcare wearables. This ultra-compact chip extends the company’s nRF54L Series, is optimized for space-constrained medical devices and can be powered directly by a single silver oxide coin cell, making it the ideal choice for continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and wearable biosensors. The nRF54LV10A delivers exceptional energy efficiency, integration, and battery life, addressing the growing demand for connected healthcare solutions.
To meet the growing demands for more energy-efficient and smaller solutions, the nRF54LV10A offers a 1.2–1.7 V supply range, sub-50 nA hibernation mode, and the smallest chip-scale package in the series (1.9 x 2.3 mm). It integrates a 2.4 GHz radio, a 128 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor, a RISC-V coprocessor, 1 MB of non-volatile memory, and 192 KB of RAM, while consuming 30–50 percent less power than its predecessor, the nRF52 Series.
Security is a key focus, with features such as secure boot, firmware updates, storage, and Arm TrustZone® support, alongside tamper detection and hardened cryptographic acceleration. Uniquely, the nRF54LV10A is the first Bluetooth LE SoC to combine low voltage operation with Bluetooth Channel Sounding, enabling precise distance measurement, indoor positioning, and presence detection—critical for patient safety in healthcare applications.
As the fifth addition to the nRF54L Series, the nRF54LV10A complements other multiprotocol SoCs like the nRF54LM20A, nRF54L15, nRF54L10, and nRF54L05, giving developers flexibility to balance size, power, and functionality. The chip is available now for development with support from the nRF Connect SDK, with mass production scheduled for Q2 2026.
