With the HVSL series from Amphenol IPG PCD, Rutronik offers powerful high-voltage connectors for use in electric and hybrid vehicles as well as in charging infrastructure. The series impresses with its combination of safety mechanisms (HVIL-locking system), high current carrying capacity up to 350 A and IP6K9K protection class. The HVSL (High Voltage Safety Lock) series from Amphenol IPG PCD has been specially developed for high-current and high-voltage applications up to 1,000 V / 350 A. The sophisticated design meets the highest requirements for electrical safety, vibration resistance and environmental resistance – ideal for modern e-mobility architectures and DC charging systems.

A key feature is the integrated HVIL (High Voltage Interlock Loop) safety lock. It prevents voltage from being applied until the connector is fully engaged – a crucial safety advantage in high-voltage systems. In addition, mechanical coding (A, B, C) ensures error-free connection of different system configurations. The HVSL series is available with or without the HVIL option, enabling flexible system integration.

Thanks to RADSOK® contact technology, the connector offers extremely low contact resistance combined with high current carrying capacity. This results in lower operating temperatures, longer service life and higher energy efficiency.

The connectors are designed for conductor cross-sections from 25 mm² to 50 mm² and, depending on the version, comply with IP67, IP6K9K and IPX2B – i.e., complete dust tightness and protection against high-pressure cleaning and temporary submersion.

The series is also characterized by its high mechanical robustness: it is vibration and shock resistant, can withstand high mating cycles and is designed for use in harsh environments – such as in engine compartments or power electronics enclosures.
