As part of the reorganization, only Fabian Plentz (COO) and Michael Badinger (CFO) report to Thomas Rudel, Managing Director and CEO. Since January 2026, Dirk Finstel, Chief Sales Officer (CSO), and Markus Krieg, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), have reported directly to Fabian Plentz. With the merger of Product Marketing, Sales, and Logistics under the COO's operational responsibility, all central business processes are being consolidated for the first time. This strengthens cross-divisional cooperation and increases agility and consistency in implementation. "This step is particularly important to me because it secures Rutronik's future viability," says CEO Thomas Rudel, emphasizing the significance of the management realignment.
The new structure strengthens operational excellence by creating transparency, accelerating processes, and supporting the consistent implementation of strategic goals. Closer networking of all operational areas enables more efficient and coordinated work across departmental boundaries. "During his 11 years at Rutronik, Fabian Plentz has gained extensive experience in all relevant business areas, making him the ideal person to oversee our company's operations," adds Thomas Rudel.
Central spokesperson role and new press office
With the realignment, Fabian Plentz will take on the role of the corporate spokesperson. He will be responsible for all external communications and serve as the primary contact for the media. "I intend to leverage determination, strategic foresight, and clear focus to ensure the long-term success of our company-wide processes and decision-making procedures. I see great potential in establishing cross-divisional structures so that we can act faster, more consistently, and in a more coordinated manner as a company," says Fabian Plentz about his expanded area of responsibility.
Along with the appointment of the corporate spokesperson, the Rutronik Group's communications agency, TRUH GmbH, is establishing a central press office that will collaborate closely with Fabian Plentz. All media and press inquiries will be coordinated via this office and handled by TRUH GmbH to ensure professional and reliable communication.
