New Customer Portal and Digital FAE Expand Service Offering
A key example of this evolution is the company’s new customer portal, which will be unveiled through an exclusive first preview at the exhibition. Designed to connect manufacturers, distributors, and customers on a single platform, it provides more efficient access to technical information, product data, and critical development and procurement processes. At the core of the portal is an AI-powered Digital Field Application Engineer (FAE) that supports users around the clock. Using natural language interaction, it can answer technical questions, identify suitable components, suggest alternatives for discontinued products, and analyze bills of materials (BOMs) for availability and lifecycle risks. The objective is to accelerate development cycles and enable customers to make well-informed decisions earlier in the design process, helping bring innovations to market faster.
Rutronik Robotics Brings Together Expertise for Intelligent Automation
At the same time, Rutronik is addressing one of the electronics industry's fastest-growing markets through its new Rutronik Robotics initiative. The program brings together expertise in sensing, motion control, embedded AI, connectivity, and power management to support the development of next-generation automation solutions. By combining engineering support, reference designs, and a network of leading technology partners, Rutronik helps customers integrate these technologies efficiently and accelerate the deployment of innovative automation applications. Participating partners include industry leaders such as Infineon, ams OSRAM, Altera, and RECOM.
Bringing Innovation to Life
Visitors can experience how these developments translate into real-world applications at booth 379 in hall C6. Live demonstrations from the fields of robotics, wireless connectivity, and edge AI will showcase how advanced semiconductor technologies enable intelligent systems and unlock new opportunities across industrial and everyday applications.
“The demands of our customers are evolving rapidly. While reliable component supply remains essential, technological expertise, digital services, and support for increasingly complex development processes are becoming ever more important. For us, electronica provides the ideal platform to demonstrate how distribution is evolving and how we can help accelerate the journey from innovation to market-ready applications,” said Fabian Plentz, COO and corporate representative of Rutronik.
With its presence at electronica 2026, Rutronik underscores that the future of distribution extends well beyond the supply of components. Digital platforms, intelligent services, and application-focused technology expertise are becoming key enablers of successful development projects and long-term innovation partnerships.
