In addition to salary and social factors, such as working time model, compatibility of work and family or innovative strength plays an important role for employees in Germany, the security of the workplace also plays a decisive role in deciding on a company. A survey by DEUTSCHLAND TEST and the Institute for Management and Economic Research on behalf of "Focus Money" surveyed 3,700 companies in Germany the security and sustainability of the jobs they offer.

3,700 companies with more than 250 employees were surveyed and for which financial data was consistently available from 2013 to 2017. Subsequently, three key figures were analysed for this period:
Employee development, sales development and profit development. Taken together, these indicators reflect economic prosperity of a company - and thus also the safety of the workplace.
To receive an award, the companies had to meet three conditions: The number of employees was not allowed to exceed the number of employees in any year-on-year comparison, annual sales had to be adjusted for each year greater than the corresponding moving average, and thirdly, it had to be earnings before interest and taxes are always positive. All these criteria Rutronik fulfilled the requirements and received the "Best Jobs with a Future" award.
"As an owner-managed family business, it is important to us that our to offer employees a secure, sustainable workplace. Especially in difficult economic times, this can be a decisive factor for employees to choose us," says Thomas Rudel, CEO of Rutronik.
