Reliable Connectivity for your Power Needs

Cutting-edge power designs that ensure long-term efficiency and reliability

The Internet of Things has rapidly changed our daily lives, with next-generation connectivity disrupting industry and society. Whether you are designing in the connected home space, or enhancing automotive connectivity, all devices have one thing in common - they need power.

Molex a vast array of power connectors that balance high-performance, superior reliability and efficiency. Whatever your requirements, Molex has the tools to help power innovative designs.

FiT Family Power Connectors

Power-application engineers face choosing between headers with exposed terminals that leave connectors susceptible to damage and large, fully isolated headers that take up too much space. Solving this dilemma, the FiT Families Power Connectors provide design engineers with fully protected header terminals in a small package.

Key Features:

  • Multiple points of contact provide redundant and secondary current paths over the life of contact
  • Polarised and keyed feature ensures header and receptacle cannot be mismated
  • Headers made of high-temperature LCP materials which can withstand 265°C IR reflow processes
  • Positive locking ensures mated connector assemblies will not accidentally disengage
  • Scoop proof feature prevents damage to terminals and header pins if parts are mated at sever angle
  • Fully isolated contacts provide excellent pin-to-pin electrical and mechanical isolation

Squba Sealed Wire-to-Wire Connectors

Typically, as current ratings increase so do wire gauges, compromising compactness and increasing costs for consumer device manufacturers. Squba Connectors support up to 14.0A with 16 to 24 AWG wire, delivering more power over a smaller wire than competitors.

Key Features:

  • Delivers IP67 rating to prevent ingress of dust and water
  • Caps protect the seals and lead to more reliable connections
  • Miniature size (1.80mm pitch) alleviates space constraints
  • Transmits a higher current rating over a smaller gauge wire compared to competitors
  • Supports a high operating temperature and current rating

FCT D-Sub Connectors

Engineers often need connectors that have a high current rating that fit in the same space as lower-current connectors. FCT D-Sub Connectors' are time-tested for ruggedness and reliability, with machined contacts that have increased current-carrying capacity over stamped contacts and are stronger mechanically, making them ideal for a range of applications.

Key Features:

  • Machined contacts with superior current-carrying capacity
  • Plastic and metal backshells provide robust coupling of connectors
  • Waterproof IP67 available
  • D-sub connector accessories available for a tailored solution to standard D-sub connectors
  • Many different combinations of materials and gold plating thicknesses

L1NK Connector System

Design engineers may face the challenge of saving on their PCB space without having to forego terminal protection. Molex's L1NK Connector System offers superior terminal protection in a small package with maximum current. For new low-power, wire-to-board applications, L1NK connectors are reliable alternatives to other manufacturers' products.

Key Features:

  • Reflow-capable header can withstand a 260°C reflow process
  • Unique keying design prevents mis-mating
  • V-0/Glow Wire combination resin
  • Positive-locking latch offers a clear audible click
  • Reflow options available

Off-the-Shelf Cable Assemblies

Standard Cable Assemblies deliver Off-the-Shelf solutions with a broad offering of Molex connectors and a variety of cable lengths to facilitate both prototyping and global production.

Key Features:

  • Discrete cable assemblies with a range of Molex Connectors available off the shelf
  • UL 1061 and UL 1007 discrete wires
  • Meets current cable assembly industry standards
  • Pin-to-pin mapping from receptacle to PCB header
  • Meets 2011/65/EU RoHS Compliance
