Who is actually Konsta Partanen?

  Newsletter Article

In the February issue of our newsletter, we introduced you to our Rutronik office in the Finnish capital Helsinki, where Konsta Partanen has been working since April 2018. He joined the Rutronik24 family at the end of last year. He is drawn to warmer climes on vacation, although he loves snowboarding and ice hockey.

Tell us about your career at Rutronik/Rutronik24.

I started at Rutronik on April 3, 2018 as a field sales engineer and initially made visits with our other FSEs to find my feet in the job. While my colleagues were on summer vacation, I helped out in the back office and ended up joining Rutronik24 at the end of last year. I am currently an R24 FSE and am looking for interesting new projects for our Nordic FAE team.

What do you most enjoy about your job?

Visiting customers and the associated trips. I enjoy the journeys to the meetings with customers and look forward to getting to know new people. And making sure the customer meeting ends in success is naturally also nice [laughs].

"If I won a million euros on the lotto, I would ..."

... firstly buy a house and a car, and then use the rest to travel the world, seek out new experiences, and keep some money stashed away for a rainy day.

When you approach a difficult task - what helps you to think?

That's difficult to say, because it depends on the task. I have various methods for different situations.

Where do you prefer to go on vacation and why?

I prefer warm, tropical destinations and have always loved crystal-clear water and rainforests.

What was the last book you read?

The biography of Finnish Formula 1 racing driver Kimi Räikkönen. I generally enjoy reading biographies, because they tell the true stories behind the personality.

Do you have a nickname and if so, where does it originate?

My nickname is Konde, which is just a slightly modified form of my name and is now even used more frequently by friends, family, and acquaintances than my actual name. One of my schoolfriends came up with it when I was twelve years old.

If you could take three things (THINGS! Not people!) with you to a desert island, what would you take?

Water, food, and ... sorry, but I have to break the rule: a friend.

What is your favorite pastime?

In winter, I like snowboarding and ice hockey; in summer, I just like being in the great outdoors with my friends and enjoying the weather.
