Once again this year, Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH is the main sponsor of the “Rutronik 1/3-Marathon” within the program of the Baden-Marathon in Karlsruhe on Sunday, September 23.

The “Rutronik 1/3-Marathon” took place for the first time last year over 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) and was a total success: 232 entrants ran the course from the palace to the trade fair center in 2017. This year, the 1/3-marathon starts on the grounds of Post Südstadt Karlsruhe e.V. and goes via Oberwald, Oststadt, and the palace to the finish line in the Carl-Kaufmann-Stadion in Beiertheim. The 1/3-marathon is primarily aimed at entrants who want to explore the most beautiful parts of the center of Karlsruhe over a shorter distance.
Rutronik hopes that in 2018 the run will be fully booked with 300 entrants. The aim of sponsoring the “Rutronik 1/3-Marathon” is to motivate even more employees to participate and to draw attention to the company as an attractive employer in the technology region of Pforzheim-Karlsruhe through the commitment as main sponsor.

Sports sponsorship out of conviction
“Rutronik has been supporting numerous sports projects for years,” explains Susanne Stern, Deputy Head of Marketing-Communication at Rutronik. “It therefore went without saying for us that we would make ourselves available as sponsor again this year after the successful launch last year.  The Baden-Marathon is not only a highlight of the regional sporting calendar each year, but also gives us as a company the opportunity to present ourselves outside the usual context.”
