1. Tell us about your career at Rutronik/Rutronik24.
I have been a sales representative at Rutronik for two and a half years now and I have the pleasure of looking after the most beautiful sales region in Germany, between the Black Forest and Lake Constance, where I am the first point of contact for all of my customers' needs.
2. What do you most enjoy about your job?
My job at Rutronik is varied above all else. We talk to a wide range of people and deal with many different issues. We are on hand to assist our customers from the initial idea to the full-scale production run and from the development stage to the purchasing process. We seldom get bored.
3. "If I won a million euros on the lotto, I would ..."
Quit my apartment and my job and cut all ties for a while in order to buy an off-road RV or a sailing boat and embark on a big trip. I have even planned the route already: I would go via Iceland and Greenland to North America. From there, I would continue the journey to Africa via South America and then onto Asia. The trip would end in Australia, where I most likely would stay. I wonder whether one million would be enough.
4. When you approach a difficult task - what helps you to think?
I start by clearing my mind and listening more to my gut instinct, ideally surrounded by nature and preferably on a mountain summit. If there isn't one nearby, a forest would also work.
5. Where do you prefer to go on vacation and why?
I prefer to spend my vacation in the mountains, where life is diverse and adventurous: hiking, cycling, climbing, skiing, and of course all of the tasty specialties that they serve there.
6. If you could take three things to a desert island, what would you take?
Swiss army knife, hammock, surfboard.
7. Which famous person, living or dead, would you most like to meet and why?
Ueli Steck, extreme mountain climber and holder of several world records! I would like to know where this superhuman strength came from and how he was able to withstand such stress. I find it incredible what this man achieved - climbing the north face of the Eiger in two hours 22 minutes; scaling all 82 Alpine four-thousanders in 61 days!
8. What is your favorite pastime?
I generally like to be out and about, whether on my bike or on foot. It doesn't matter whether I am in the mountains, by the sea, or even in a town. I like to discover new things and I almost always have my camera with me.
