Tell us about your career at Rutronik/Rutronik24

I joined Rutronik24 in April this year as a field sales representative. Of course I had to learn a great deal at the start, get to grips with new things, and work even more independently. My colleagues, managers, and the training courses have really helped me in this regard, so I have been able to get out and about and visit my customers since July, which I thoroughly enjoy.

What do you most enjoy about your job?

The opportunity to have great chats with the customers and get to know a wide range of personalities. When one of these chats results in a brilliant order being placed, then everything has gone perfectly.

"If I won a million euros on the lotto, I would ..."

... probably start by buying or building my own home and if there were any money left over, I would also buy one of my dream cars.

When you approach a difficult task - what helps you to think?

First and foremost: calm.

Where do you prefer to go on vacation and why?

I prefer a staycation and like to go to the Black Forest, the Palatinate Forest, or Saxon Switzerland, where I book a guesthouse or simply sleep in the forest with a hammock and sleeping bag. I can enjoy peace and quiet here like nowhere else - it is just a great way of switching off from everyday life. I associate forests and mountains with home and there's no place like home, is there?

Do you have a nickname and if so, where does it originate?

Of course. With a name like Florian, Flo is the ideal nickname - and that is what everybody calls me, with the exception of my family. A little fun fact: That is also my abbreviation here at work.

What food are you unable to resist?

Candy and chocolate aren't really my thing, but I can never resist a good burger - that is by far my favorite food.

What was your dream job as a child?

As a boy, I always wanted to be a professional firefighter - but nothing came of it. Nonetheless, I have been a volunteer with the Rastatt Fire Department for 18 years.

What is your favorite pastime?

Hiking and landscape photography are my favorite pastimes, which of course are both linked. You have to hike frequently to find a good subject for the camera. The nicest spots can generally only be reached on foot or maybe by bike.
