Ms. Martina Lehmann, Chair of the Board at Nagold-Pforzheim Employment Agency, opened the event with a welcome speech at 8.45 a.m. Several political representatives and the mayor of Pforzheim were welcomed as honored guests.
As part of the fair, approximately 200 exhibitors gave information about opportunities for training and study in the industry, trade, services, and health sectors. The Rutronik stand was staffed by two apprentices, two students, and two colleagues from HR. Ms. Kolem, Ms. Jülg, and I had already put together our stand on the Friday and packed 150 bags full of giveaways and information material for those interested. In addition, we had "text marker dolls" and anti-stress balls to give out, and these became an absolute highlight for potential applicants.
Our stand was so well attended that by 12 o'clock we had already given away all our bags. We enjoyed lots of interesting conversations and had the opportunity to talk quite a bit about our training programs and college partnerships. Selina Geiger, Filipe Dos Reis, Daniele Barletta, and I had lots of fun giving advice to prospective students and trainees, and were happy to be able to help out at the fair.
