Designed to meet the growing consumer needs in the high voltage MOSFETs arena, the new 950V CoolMOS™ P7 focuses on the low-power SMPS market. Target applications range from lighting, smart meter, mobile phone charger, and notebook adaptor, over AUX power supply, to industrial SMPS.

Offering 50V more blocking voltage than its predecessor 900V CoolMOS™ C3, the new 950V CoolMOS™ P7 series delivers outstanding performance in terms of efficiency, thermal behavior and ease-of-use.

Compared to competition, the 950V CoolMOS™ P7 delivers best-in-class efficiency and thermal performance. Plug-and-play at 90VAC in a 40W adapter reference design (EVAL_40W_FLY_P7_950V), featuring the snubberless concept, demonstrates excellent efficiency gains of up to 0.2% and lower MOSFET temperature of up to 5.2°C compared to similar competitor technology. SOT-223 Package (Cost-effective package solution & drop-in replacement for DPAK)

The 950V CoolMOS™ P7 Superjunction MOSFET meets even the most rigorous design requirements: for lighting, smart meter, mobile charger, notebook adapter, AUX power supply and industrial SMPS applications.

The SOT-223 represents a cost-effective package solution. Without the middle pin it is fully compatible to the footprint of a DPAK and therefore allows one-on-one drop-in replacements and second sourcing at lower cost. Additionally, it features a comparable thermal behavior to DPAK. Smaller form factors result from space savings in designs with low power dissipation.

In addition to SOT-223 the 950V CoolMOS™ P7 is available in TO-220 FullPAK, TO-251 IPAK LL, and TO-252 DPAK packages. For complete portfolio see product table below.
