XDPL8105

The XDPL8105 is a high performance microcontroller based digital single-stage flyback controller with power factor correction (PFC) for constant output current LED driver. The IC is available in a DSO-8 package and supports a wide feature set, requiring the minimum of external components. The digital engine offers the possibility to configure operation parameters and protection modes, which helps to ease the design phase and allows a reduced number of hardware variants. Accurate primary side output current regulation is implemented to eliminate the need for secondary side feedback circuitry.

CDM10V

Cost optimized isolated 0-10 V dimming IC

The compact and highly integrated CDM10V dimming interface IC allows designers to replace many of the discrete components used in conventional 0-10 V dimming schemes with a single device.

DC/DC Buck for SELV applications

The ILD6150 driver is a unique step-down buck converter allowing input operation up to the maximum safety electrical low voltage (SELV) of 60 VDC. This digital driver is able to handle a wide range of current up to 1.5 A and works well for one to 18 colored LEDs with little to no change in the number of external components. Efficiencies to 98 percent ensure little power is wasted, while a fast 1 MHZ switching speed minimizes required inductor size. With the integrated MOSFET, this beneficial combination allows easy and simple designs for small form-factor solutions. The ILD6000 series feature an internal (optional) thermal sensor for full integration. As a result, there is no need for an external NTC/PTC device, which saves extra costs.

ILD6150

The ILD6150 switch mode DC-DC LED driver is tailored to drive high power LEDs and LED array, offering flexible dimming options. The ILD6150 is a 60V LED Driver IC for currents up to 1.5A, which means up to 16-18 LED's can be stacked in series. In addition, ILD6150 features integrated advanced thermal protection, and achieves efficiency levels up to 98%. The high efficiency allows to reduce cost on heat sink and spending on LEDs, as more lumen output can be reached, rather than get lost in thermals.

PFC/FB stage – Constant Current (CC) and Constant Voltage (CV)

The XDP™ LED digital power device, XDPL8220 is a configurable device which increases the flexibility by its ability to address different topologies such as CC or CV. Integration of various features leads to system cost advantage, and the two stage architecture eliminates flicker, for a simpler and more stable control loop. Together with the configurable CDM10V dimming IC a flexible LED Lighting solution can be designed.

XDPL8220

The digital core of the XDPL8220 enables a variety of systems based on the same device. Its advanced control algorithms provide the possibility to realize lighting electronic control gear (ECG) for constant current or constant voltage mode in the same circuit. The power limitation mode keeps the light on while it optimally utilizes the components capabilities. The device is adaptable to the target application, by providing a comprehensive parameter set for adjustment of operating constraints.

Multistring

Triple stage: PFC+LLC Constant Voltage (CV) + secondary buck

The use of the ICL5101 AC-DC LED Driver IC in combination with 700 V/800 V CoolMOS™ P7 enables a PFC+LLC solution benefiting from a very low BOM and low THD over wide power range.

Tuning in full color

One of the XMC™ application-specific features for lighting is a brightness and control unit (BCCU) that simplifies digital LED dimming and eases color control applications. It is specifically designed to automatically control the dimming level and color of multichannel LED lamps, requires little user code, and supports completely flicker-free operation owing to its 12-bit pulse density modulation (PDM) dimming signals. The exponential dimming engine provides automatic gradual brightness change and invisible dimming steps.

XMC1300

XMC1300 can cover LED color control, DC/DC buck, connectivity e.g. DALI and DMX, sensing and additional housekeeping functions:

  • Automatic brightness control (using high-frequency pulse density modulation) enables completely flicker-free dimming even at very low dim levels < 0.1%

  • Automatic exponential dimming and linear intensity changes make brightness or color changes appear smooth and natural to the human eye

  • Automatic color control using BCCU allows for easy transitions in orthogonal color space (e.g. RGB) and automatic timed transitions independent of lamp brightness
