78K0R/Lx3, NEC Electronics ultra low power family of 16-bit microcontrollers, is now supported by the new "78K0R/Lx3-Sense it! low cost LCD starter kit" to enable easy evaluation of the new microcontroller with LCD control and enhanced analog features.

The new demonstration kit 78K0RLx3 Sense it! is designed to demonstrate the low power 16-bit LCD 78K0R/Lx3 family. The 78K0R/Lx3 family consists of market leading ultra low power 16-bit microcontrollers with LCD controller/driver (up to 400 segments and high analog integration (12-bit ADC, 12-bit DAC, OpAmps, Voltage Reference). The evaluation kit supports On-Board debugging and Flash programming.


Kit contents

• Board based on 16-bit 78K0R/LH3 MCU (uPD78F1508GF) with 128KB Flash, 7KB RAM
  
• The board contains 400 segment LCD, thermometer, light meter, voltage meter, buzzer, 5-way joystick, DIP switches, a prototyping area and audio output for sound/voice playback using ADPCM library and convertor tool.
• USB cable for debugging, programming and powering the board
• Sample projects (Clock, kitchen timer, Voltmeter, LCD demo, current consumption measurement, sensor demo, audio play demo)
• IAR Embedded Workbench Kickstart version (16KB code limited)
