Electric Double Layer Capacitor “Green-Cap”
“Green-Cap”, Samwha Electric’s EDLC is the fastest growing product in recent years. Offered in various types of Through hole, Snap-in, Axial and even modules, the demand of Green-Cap has been rising ever since it’s mass production. Ideal for eco-friendly transportation market, renewable energy such as wind turbine or pitch control and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), Green-Cap offers excellent charging and discharging efficiency, low internal resistance and excellent temperature characteristics of up to 85℃.
Multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCC)
SAMWHA's series of multilayer ceramic(MLC) chip capacitors is designed to meet a wide variety of need. Multilayer ceramic chip capacitors are available in both class I and class II formulations. Temperature compensation formulations are class I and temperature stable and general application formulations are classified at class II. The class I multilayer ceramic capacitors are C0G with negligible dependence of electrical properties on temperature, voltage, frequency. The most of commonly used class II dielectric are X7R, X5R and Y5V. All class II capacitors vary in capacitance value under the influence of temperature, operating voltage and frequency. We offer a complete line of products for both class I and II.

With AEC-Q200 and specialized for automotive industry, it can be used at between -55℃ ~ +150℃ for 1000 hours. Provided from 25 to 63 V and up to 270 μF, it’s an ideal solution for numerous applications. To avoid short-circuit and gain superior ripple characteristics, polymer hybrid can be offered as alternative to all capacitors including ceramic, electrolytic and even tantalum. Being the mixture of conductive polymer and liquid electrolyte, it has advantages of both capacitors. In order to provide more options for customers, Samwha Electric has launched two new Snap-in type “JR” and “HH” series in 2021.
“JR” series, an upgrade series of HF series (5,000 hours), has temperature range of -25℃ to 85℃ with the longest lifetime up to 10,000 hours in the lineup. Provided in 400 and 450 volts with capacitance of 56 to 680 μF, it would be an ideal series for applications with requirement of long lifetime at 85℃.

YM & YL Series
In consideration of needs of higher ripple current and capacitance at 125℃, Samwha Electric Co., Ltd has launched two new conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitor “YM” and “YL” series.
“YM” series, a higher ripple current version of YH series (SMD type), has temperature range of -55℃ to 125℃ with the lifetime up to 4,000 hours. Provided voltage range from 25 V to 63 V with capacitance of 47 to 680 μF, it would be an ideal option for the requirement of high capacitance.

GY Series
To improve main 2000 hours at 85℃ screw terminal series GT, development of GY series has been finalized.
Improvement of GT series has been made each year on long life with GF series for 5000 hours’ and with GL series for 20000 hours’ applications. However, GY series is first improvement in both ripple currents and sizes. Available in 450 volts at temperature range of -25℃ ~ +85℃, development of GY series improved highly from GT series. Comparing with 450 volts 3900 μF of GT series GY has size of 5mm smaller and ripple current of 23% higher.

To improve current long life “KJ” series, SAMWHA electric has developed “BN” serie
Main focus on miniaturization and higher ripple current, the new series will lead SAMWHA into new market of smart home.
“BN” series, offered in high voltages of 450 V and 500 V, has high reliability withstanding 12000 hours load life at 105℃. Compared to “KJ” series, it offers smaller size and 10% ripple current increase. For instance, 450 V 150 ㎌ is offered at Φ18 x height 45mm with 1740mA rms in KJ whereas improved “BN” series offers Φ18 x height 40mm with 2000mA rms. This improvement is ideal for long life product required applications.

In consideration of demand by Electric Vehicle market, Samwha Electric successfully developed 135℃ guaranteed Aluminum electrolytic capacitor.
This was very first development of such product in Korean market and it led to exclusive approval in Samwha’s domestic EV maket.
“VP” series is developed with low resistance high temperature electrolyte and high efficient raw material. It has high reliability in temperature range of -40℃ to +135℃. Additionally, it has low rate of capacitance change at high voltage and temperature which offers electrical reliability as well as long lifetime. Lower resistance at high temperature provides help to minimization and lifetime extension of circuits and it makes “VP” series ideal for regenerative brake system and power supply of electric vehicles.
